Bedford United Church officially sponsors and supports several mission oriented organizations within our city and province. Hope Cottage is one of them. Each month, BUC provides casseroles and meals for Hope Cottage. If you would like to assist with this ministry, please call the church office for contact information. Phone 835-8497.
Hope Cottage is a charitable organization whose mission is to provide meals to those who cannot afford to obtain these meals themselves.
Since its inception Hope Cottage has grown into a Halifax institution feeding over 200 meals a day – Monday to Friday. Each day a brunch of soup and sandwich is served from 10:00 to 11:00 and a hot prepared meal from 5:00 to 6:00.
