Welcome to Bedford United Church. And, congratulations on your decision to have a child to be baptized or to be baptized as an adult. Baptism is traditionally the single most important way by which people have become members of the Christian Church. We are delighted that you have taken this step on behalf of your child or yourself.
General Information
Baptism is available for infants, children and adults, usually (but not always) on the last Sunday of each month.
To have a child baptized or to be baptized, please complete an application form and submit it to the church office. Our baptism policy and application form is available on- line or can be obtained from the church office.
Only two baptisms are conducted at any one service of worship. Please complete and submit your application early to ensure a space on the Sunday you wish. A baptism seminar is provided for all parents and/or persons wishing to be baptized.
