Welcome to worship at Bedford United Church. We are a community that loves to worship the living God as revealed to the world in Jesus. Worship is an opportunity for the entire community to gather, to rejoice in the God of Life together, to be inspired by both contemporary and traditional music, and to be challenged by interesting, uplifting and relevant preaching. Come and discover for yourself God's Spirit of joy and wonder amongst us! Regardless of faith background, everyone is invited to join us in worship and everyone is invited to join us in our sacred meal of Holy Communion!
Sunday Services
For most of the year Sunday morning worship takes place at two times.
• Our 9:00 a.m. service is modern and casual, featuring contemporary music.
• Our 11:00 a.m. service is more reverent and follows a more traditional liturgy.
During the summer months there is only one service or worship at 10:00 a.m.
On Easter Sunday, two services of worship and praise are held at the regular times of 9:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. Both services include the sacrament of holy communion.
On Christmas Eve , four services of celebration are held:
• At 4:00 p.m. the service is planned for families with young children.
• At 6:00 p.m. the service is planned for families with older children.
• At 8:00 p.m. the service is planned for families with older children.
• At 10:30 p.m. the service includes candlelight, sacred music, a message for the season and the sacrament of holy communion. For this service,we particularly invite and welcome young adults home for the season to join us with their families.
On the Sunday following Christmas , only one service of worship is held at 10:00 a.m.
