Sunday Worship - 9 &11 AM - May 20, 2012 |

Welcome to Sunday Worship at Bedford United Church. Each week we hold two services of worship at 9 a.m. and 11 a.m. at which we celebrate our relationship with the living God. Programs for children are available for kids from Grades Primary to Six. A toddlers program and staffed nursery are available for our tiny treasures. Church for Youth from Grades Seven to Twelve is held at 3:10 p.m. each Sunday and all young people are welcome to attend. Everyone, regardless of background or faith tradition, is welcome to join us at Bedford United Church for our dynamic and joy filled Sunday Worship of the Living God!
On this Victoria Day weekend, Rev. Hart takes a reflective look at how our culture has evolved over the years in its relationship to God. He ponders the fact that the idealism of our culture that once looked forward to creating a utopia, a heaven on earth, has given way to a deep pessimism about life and now considers the future to be more of a dystopia, a world in decline. He counters this pessimism with the need for our culture to return to its roots in a deep belief in God. It is only our belief in God and our reliance upon God that can truly lead us forward creatively and positively to a better world. A deeply thoughful and reflective message for a quiet and reflective weekend. Invite all your friends to join us for this profoundly inspirational and challenging message. |

NSGA Thanks You |
|
|
Before Christmas, representatives from the BUC project “Together in Diversity” donated $7783.93 to the Nova Scotia Gambia Association. These funds will allow six employees of the NSGA to remain on contract and salary for one year. “Together in Diversity” sought to bring 8 employees of the NSGA to our community in 2010 but visas were denied by Canadian Immigration. After much prayer and discussion, it was decided the money would be directed in the way the NSGA described as their greatest present need. Take a moment to hear of the gratitude expressed directly from our Gambian friends. Click here to watch the video.
